About the Recipe
Ingredients
One (12-count) package sweet Hawaiian rolls
12 slices Gruyère or Swiss cheese, divided
½ pound thinly sliced deli smoked turkey
1 tomato, sliced
6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
¾ cup melted butter
2 tablespoons TRUE’S GORUMET MUSTARD
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon light brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated garlic
½ teaspoon hot sauce
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease an 11- x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Split rolls horizontally (without separating into individual rolls); place bottom halves of rolls in prepared baking dish.
Cover bottom halves of rolls with 6 slices Gruyère cheese in an even layer. Add turkey slices, folding to fit evenly on Gruyère. Place tomato slices in an even layer over the turkey.
Top evenly with chopped bacon. Add remaining 6 slices of Gruyère in an even layer. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan. Cover with top halves of rolls.
In a small mixing bowl, stir together melted butter, True’s mustard, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic and hot sauce. Brush mixture over rolls in baking dish, allowing it to soak into rolls.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil, and bake until cheese is melted, about 15 minutes.
Uncover, and continue baking until tops are golden brown and crisp, 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot.
